Who doesn't love to have glowing skin. Eating healthy, lots of sleep and lots of exercise will help you get there. Failing that, you can always use the W3ll People Bio Brightener Stick!

According to W3ll People, the Bio Brightener Stick is an illuminizer intended to diffuse skin imperfections and capture light to achieve a flawless even glow. It is intended to suit any skin tone. An impressive claim that is!  I was interested to know if it would really do what it claims.

Ingredients (as listed on W3ll People's website):

Green Tea) Leaf*, Matricaria Chamomilla (Chamomile) Flowers*, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf*, Tocopherol, Phenethyl Alcohol, Ethyhexylglycerin, +/- Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Red 7

So does it work?

This is what my (half used) Bio Brightener Stick looks like.

I apply it to the top of my cheekbones, the top of my brow bones (under the brows), the bridge of my nose, and then I dab a bit on the inner corner of my eyes. What it does is add a pearly glow to my skin, so I can certainly see why it would universally suit any skin tone. Voila! Instant glowing skin!

What I love is the way this stick is non-greasy, glides on so smoothly, and it never creases during the day. I feel it completes my makeup, so it has definitely become an essential part of my makeup routine!

Axiology Lipstick in Infinite

I have been searching for my perfect natural lipstick for a while.

Given that you apply lipstick on your mouth, it is particularly important that you use a lipstick with natural ingredients only.  Can you imagine yourself consuming chemicals directly?  No, right?  So why would we use lipsticks which are full of nasty chemicals.

Having said that, I'm pretty picky with my lipstick.  I want it to have good colour coverage and consistency, moisturising but long lasting, and hopefully taste and smell good too.  Quite a lot to ask for… that is, until Axiology came along.

Axiology is a luxury vegan lipstick line.  The colour I tried on was Infinite.  Here's what I think.

Ingredients:

The list of ingredients (from Axiology's website): Organic Candelilla Wax, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Organic Avocado Butter, Organic Grape Seed Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Elderberry Extract, Sweet Orange Oil, Neem Seed Oil; May Contain: Iron Oxide, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Manganese Violet.

All natural: tick, tick, tick.

Packaging:

Axiology lipsticks come in distinct triangular boxes made in Bali from recycled paper.  The lipstick itself comes in a matt gold tube - very elegant.  Instead of pulling out the lid, it comes with a clickable lid - great design, as the lid doesn't just fall off in the handbag causing stains all over the place.

Does it work?

OK, let's start with the colour.  As I said, I tried the Infinite lipstick, which according to Axiology's website is a mulberry stain.  That is quite an accurate description.  An absolutely beautiful deep red colour, with a lovely sheen.  If you are after a matt colour, this may not be for you.  Axiology has thoughtfully included photos of models with different skin tones trying on their lipsticks, which I found very helpful, as it is a bit of a leap of faith when it comes to buying lipsticks online.

The lipstick has a very subtle fruity scent, not surprising given the ingredients.  It is a pleasant scent, not sickly sweet like some natural lipsticks can be.

The lipstick glides on so smoothly you can feel the moisturising properties instantly, and indeed, it kept my lips moisturised throughout the day.  Importantly, the lipstick did last me through the day - I only had to reapply once after lunch.

So, I think I have indeed found my perfect lipstick!  I can't wait to try out some other Axiology colours for a more casual look.
